The Origin of Extensionist.nl
Extensionist.nl was born from my deep love for beauty and creativity — a passion that started when I was a little girl dreaming of becoming a makeup artist. Fifteen years ago, I took the first step toward that dream by entering the world of makeup. I focused on weddings and photoshoots, pouring my heart into every look I created. As my reputation grew, I decided to open my own beauty salon. In the early years, I specialized in makeup and nails, creating beautiful transformations for my clients.
Introducing Hair Extensions
Around ten years ago, after receiving countless compliments and requests from clients who admired my own hair, I decided to add hair extensions to my services. I had been wearing and maintaining my own extensions for years, and their success made it a natural step to share this expertise with others. This allowed me to meet my clients’ wishes even more fully and brought a new dimension to my salon.
From Client to Expert in Permanent Makeup
When it came to my eyebrows, I was always very particular — I wouldn’t let anyone touch them. So I decided to learn the art of permanent makeup myself. I trained in order to perfect my own brows and to understand the experience from a client’s perspective. That insight now helps me work with even greater care and precision.
After completing a two-year masterclass at the Mieke Petiet School in Amsterdam, I earned my diploma as a makeup artist. That period was one of the most inspiring times of my life — filled with creativity and growth. My skills quickly evolved, and I naturally transitioned into permanent makeup, with a special focus on eyebrow design. It was the perfect fit with my makeup background.
The Heart of Extensionist.nl Today
Today, my salon focuses on hair extensions and eyebrow tattoos. While makeup will always be a part of who I am, my heart lies in enhancing natural beauty. Hair extensions and permanent makeup — especially brows and lips — are the core of my work.
My journey has always been driven by passion, creativity, and the desire to make my clients feel their absolute best. I look forward to continuing this path for many years to come — and to helping you discover your most beautiful self.
